Health-Atmosphere Nexus Group
We are seeking energetic individuals interested in air pollution and extreme weather to join our dynamic team
Graduate student
We welcome students with diverse cultural and training backgrounds to join us. Our School of Public Health (SPH) offers a wide range of degree programs in collaboration with sister institutions in the Texas Medical Center in Houston (i.e., Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Rice University, etc.). If you have experience with programming language and spatial analysis tools (i.e., Python, R, ArcGIS, etc.), please contact Dr. Yun Hang with your CV to discuss potential research projects.
We encourage eligible students to apply for graduate fellowships with us. For example, NSF Graduate Research Fellowships, the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship, and more. Dr. Hang has successfully supervised students to obtain external funding for a five-year period.
Postdoctoral research fellow or associate
We may have positions open for postdoctoral scholars who are interested in our research themes. Highly motivated candidates with PhD degrees in environmental health and epidemiology, atmospheric science and meteorology, environmental science and engineering, biostatistics, data science, urban planning, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Please send a CV and the contact information of three references to Dr. Hang.
We support qualified graduate students to apply for postdoctoral fellowships with us, via the NSF Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowships Program, the NOAA Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, and more.
Visiting student or scholar
Please send your CV and research plan, as well as the contact information of three references to Dr. Hang.
